Soldiers' Christmas Parade
The day starts out with a Commanding Officer's Parade, the last one of the year. Major Bob Mugford escorts the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Bill Wickett and special guest through his Battery.
The salute is taken by the Honorary Colonels and our special guest.
Commissioning scrolls are presented to Lieutenant Brown and Lieutenant John Carter.
The Canadian Forces Decoration for twelve years of service is presented.
Honorary Colonel Graham Blyth, Lieutenant-Colonel Bill Wickett and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel Griffiths pose in front of the Officers' Mess fireplace with our guest.
The kitchen help seems a bit more focused this year and it appears they all survived the 1976 tension. Captain Martin Casey, Major Barrie Hamilton and Major Bob Mugford carve the turkey.
The Commanding Officer Lieutenant-Colonel William (Bill) Wickett CD serves the youngest Gunner and the Regimental Sergeant Major, Chief Warrant Officer Eric Tyldesley-Gore, CD
The head table includes our honored guest, the Honorary Colonel Graham Blyth, the Regimental Sergeant Major, Chief Warrant Officer Eric Tyldesley-Gore, CD, Lieutenant-Colonel Bill Wickett and the youngest Gunner, Private Chan?
Apparently a gift Gunner Teddy Bear was presented and the author would be grateful if someone could give additional info on the bear – Who, What, Why? Finishing off the Christmas dinner series is this photo of the valiant officers unplugging the kitchen sink.
