Just discovered another Gunner of the 5th Canadian Siege Battery who passed away at Ypres. Thou shalt not be forgotten.
I have recently been advised that Sergeant Charles 'Scottie' McGinley CD passed away in December 2000. He was a member of the Regular Force Support Staff from 1975 to 1980.
He is fondly remembered by many of us from that era. Ubique I'm trying out a new format for the WW1 war diaries. Rather than put them them up day as part of a 100 years ago today commentary, I've placed them on a separate page with 3 months worth on each page. Check out the 31st Battery war diaries from October to November 1917 on this page and send me your comments.
More than 60 photos from Remembrance Day have now been placed in the 2017 yearbook. Check them out and pass on any new ones that you may have.
Thanks to everyone involved for a job well done! The Bessborough Armoury is full of history. Much of that history has yet to be written down but we're getting there. Today's story is about the large Canadian flag that hangs over the Parade Square. Where did it come from? Check out the 2006 Yearbook for the answer.
