Ex MOWAT HONOUR
On 29 November 2025, 15th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA hosted Ex MOWAT HONOUR at Bessborough Armoury, bringing together personnel from across 39 Canadian Brigade Group, members of the Queen’s Own Rifles and the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery School, and Deputy Commander J3 US CETCOM HQ BGen Sonny Hatton.
The training event combined a Tactical Training Exercise and Indirect Fire Trainer activity designed to enhance cooperation between artillery forward observers and manoeuvre elements.
The day began with professional development delivered by BGen Hatton followed by a discussion of the scheme of manoeuvre on a large-scale map model and a live GPUAS reconnaissance by the 15 Fd Regt Drone Troop. The exercise culminated with SACs and FOOs working together through a simulated hasty attack scenario, while supervised by an Instructor in Gunnery and an Assistant Instructor in Gunnery.
