Saint Barbara's Day Special Guest Night
The Officers' Mess at Bessborough Armoury held their annual Saint Barbara's Day Special Guest Night on 29 November 2025. It was very well attended and followed the standard format of welcoming remarks, an excellent dinner, the dessert show, the traditional toasts, numerous regimental marches, the Screw Guns and adjournment to the Officers’ Mess.
Brigadier-General Sonny T Hatton, Canadian Army USCENTCOM Vice Director Operations (VJ3), was the guest of honour.
The officers provided a miniature battle scene complete with a drone and artillery support. There might be a need for some practice loading the brass canons (and the misfire drill) but otherwise an interesting display. Rather amazed the smoke detectors were not set off!
