Where's the party? Is it Shilo in 1992 prior to OP SNOWGOOSE 58 departure? More pictures here.
![]() Gunner Harold George Davies enlisted with the 68th Overseas Depot Battery, Canadian Field Artillery in Vancouver, BC on 21 February 1916. He was serving with the 3rd Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery on 18 October 1917 as a signaler when an enemy shell landed on his dugout, killing him instantly. Lest we forget. ![]() Warrant Officer (Ret'd) Lester Denis (Bud) Taylor CD It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Lester Denis Taylor AKA Bud, who lost his battle with cancer on Friday, July 17, 2020. Bud was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves behind Sheila, his loving partner of 56 years, his three children Lynne Taylor of Kamloops, Sherri (Bruno) Valana of Kamloops and Denis (Deanna) Taylor of Victoria. Bud also leaves his three grandchildren Laura (Tyler), Sara (Dylan) and Ethan as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. See more... See more photos here. Can you spot any other faces in the crowd? I've got two photos of a group shot at the Junior Ranks bar and I'm trying to ascertain the correct date. We have Bdr Paul who was promoted on 11 Jun 1990, Gnr Tony Gee who was qualified 11 May 1990. The difficulty is that Gnr Rob Wishnicki, by my records, should be a Bombardier as of 2 Apr 1989 and he is still a Gunner in the photo..... What's your guess? Lt Ken West, Lt Nick Watts, Rick Tennant, Bdr Richard Bowes, 5, Bdr Paul Kim, 7, Gnr Rob Wishnicki, 9, Lt Ron Matthews, Gnr Tony Gee, Pte William Martinez

The Commanding Officer was not enamoured with the Militia Training Support Centre as vehicles and Equipment was being removed from units for placement in Wainwright for the use of units to be flown in 2-3 times per year.
More photos from the Dolan Magrath collection. It appears that a detachment has discovered the Warsaw Pact armoured vehicle collection. When was this? Who did I miss naming in the photos? Check out the other pictures here.
![]() Two newsletters from 1991 have been added to the newspaper archive page. They feature discussion on the upcoming Annual R.U.S.I Mess Dinner at $35.00. The recent "Inaugural Annual Dinner" held last September only cost $50.00. That's an inflationary increase of only 43% in 28 years or 1.28% annually. There's also mention of a fundraising ask for a sword display case. Check them out on this page. |
