On 19 August, Honorary Colonel Don Foster organized a luncheon for the Friends of the Regiment and the Royal United Services Institute. The main feature of the luncheon (Other than a great roast beef lunch) was a presentation by the 15th Field Regiment Drone Club. There was also a presentation on a mobile anti-drone device that is currently being developed in Vancouver. Check out some additional photos here.

A group of Vancouver Gunners have been working hard painting the 25 Pounder outside White Rock City Hall. I'll send a complete story in the next week. In the meantime, here's a before and after photo.

Our presenter for this event is a member of 15 Fd Regt’s Drone detachment, who will give us an update of its progress to date, with a demonstration of drone operations. Lieutenant-Colonel Douglas Gayton started his military career as a private with the BC Hussars NPAM. The BC Hussars were mobilized and re-roled as the 1st Searchlight Regiment RCA CASF.
