Captain (ret'd) Rob Wishnicki contacted Master Bombardier (ret'd) Bob Healey on a recent trip to Winnipeg. Always appreciated his great work with the Regimental Kitchen! Bob and his wife ran the Officer's Mess for a while after his retirement. Started in 1987 and passed the duties onto Mrs Lum.

The 25 Pounder will be at the Cloverdale Legion on 27 September. Drop on by and say hello!

Our current journey had us boondocking behind a Philippine restaurant in Miramachi, NB. Great food! A post dinner stroll took us to the Saint Michael's Church Graveyard where another six Gunner graves were located and added to the RCAA's Lest We Forget project.

The Depart with Dignity event on 11 October has been amended with the addition of ​Lieutenant-Colonel (ret’d) Pierre Lajoie CD. Don't forget to send in your RSVP as per the invite.

Lieutenant-Colonel (ret’d) Kent A Wickens;
Chief Warrant Officer (ret’d) Rob Garrett; and

Please additionally indicate if you would seek to say a few words regarding the careers/experiences you’ve had alongside any of the members being acknowledged on this day to allow organizers to sequence a program and build a master event list.

Travels took us to Quebec City where we came across an excellent display of WW1 War trophies behind the Armoury of the Voltigeurs. One could almost believe that this display concept may have been in the minds of the Vancouver group that collected the the guns at Hastings Park in the 1930s. Check put all the photos here.

​The Warrant Officers and Sergeants held their Annual Dinner and Dining out of retired members on 5 September 2025. 
The retirees were to include WO James Palmer MMM CD, Sgt Susan Penner CD, Sgt Dan Scott CD and Sgt Jayson Wong CD. The Regimental Sergeant Major made promotions including a promotion to Honorary Warrant Officer to LCol (ret'd) James Barrett.

On our current trek across Canada, we found ourselves with some spare time in Brandon, Man. What better opportunity than to visit the Municipal Cemetery and pay our respects to the Gunners buried there. When we stopped, the RCAA's Lest We Forget project listed 19 Gunner graves. We took photos of the additional graves that we found and the list now numbers 151 Gunners that will not be forgotten. Currently researching each of them and placing them into the RCAA Lest We Forget webpage.
