I've embarked on a mission to digitize the World War II histories of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery. I've got scanned copies of units from Field Regiments, Anti-Aircraft Regiments and Anti-Tank units. I find the stories fascinating! They're all in PDF format which limits the ability to send them out for republishing. What I need are some volunteers to each grab a regiment and spend a couple of months converting them into word documents. Some are easy, some are really hard. Of course, what would be really great would be if someone was involved in the scanning industry and had a way of automatically converting them. I've attached two sample documents. Send me an email if you're interested.
The Miniature 12 Pounder Napoleon Cannon Drill has been uploaded to the reference section of the web site. to ensure that all Cannon Drill participants have the knowledge necessary to ensure safe drill. While you're in the reference page, check out some of the other documents.
The unit fired the Remembrance Day salute at Hallelujah Point, Stanley Park, Vancouver. It was a sunny day, rather unusual for November. Even without the overcast sky, one could hear the rounds echo across the Vancouver highrises. The Band was coordinated with the salute troop and added to the solemnity of the day. See the other photos here.
