The 18 pounder detachments were noted for their vital support in holding key terrain. The winter of 1918/1919 was very brutal but there appears little in the way of frostbite injuries reported.

The following members of the Battery were awarded the Military Medal. The medal is awarded to Warrant Officers, non-commissioned officers and men for individual or associated acts of bravery on the recommendation of a Commander-in-Chief in the field.
The circumstances for their award to the following have yet to be discovered as their citation card simply states that they were awarded. Sergeant J.A. Beddow's was presented as a bar to his Military Medal awarded in 1917. |
