Canadian Forces' Decoration (CD)
The Canadian Forces' Decoration is awarded to officers and Non-Commissioned Members of the Canadian Forces who have completed twelve years of service. The decoration is awarded to all ranks, who have a good record of conduct.The decoration is awarded to the regular forces, reserve forces, officers of the Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC), Canadian Rangers and holders of honorary appointments in the CF. In 2003 Sergeant Keith Laing, CD was awarded his second bar to the Canadian Forces Decoration. See more... |
Gunner Douglas Corsor Jr. Memorial Trophy
The Gunner Douglas Corsor Jr. memorial trophy was created by his close friends in the Regiment, Gunner Noel RR Dykes, Gunner Joseph C. Gauthier, Gunner R. Gerard, Gunner H. Harsch and Gunner V. Hughes after his untimely death in a vehicle accident in 1974. It is presented to the Gunner that most exemplifies the best characteristics of being a Gunner. This year’s award is presented to Bombardier JH Zhong. |

Operation PEREGRINE was a domestic Canadian military operation that took place between August 3 and September 16, 2003.In early August 2003, British Columbia was overwhelmed by over 800 separate forest fires. Provincial fire services were stretched to the breaking point, and tens of thousands of people were forced to evacuate their homes. After responding to a severe interface fire in Barriere BC, the provincial government requested federal aide. Sergeant Ian M Smith and Sergeant Rick Tennant were some of the members from the unit that volunteered. See more...

The 15th Field Artillery Regiment Band are flown to San Diego to perform for the VR - 57 Conquistadors gala event. The Conquistadors of VR-57 are part of a team that is entrusted to safely execute responsive, flexible, and rapid deployable C-40 Clipper air logistics support to the Fleet and Combatant Commanders worldwide. The Band of the 15th Field Artillery Regiment RCA was requested to assist in the change of command ceremony at Whidbey island for the Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 61, better known as the VR-61 Islanders. This squadron flies four DC-9 transport jets capable of carrying 100 passengers or 20,000 pounds of cargo, or several combinations of both.

New Equipment - CADPAT
Canadian Disruptive Pattern (CADPAT) is the computer-generated digital camouflage pattern uniform that began fielding in 2002, with its first appearance in the Temperate Woodland variant in 15th Field Artillery Regiment in 2003. CADPAT TW is designed to reduce the likelihood of detection by night vision devices. The initial issue included a helmet cover, wide brim combat hat, jacket, shirt, and trousers. Subsequent additions included the jacket, raincoat and rain trousers. |

Stand-Up Table
This large stand-up table was purchased by the members of the 15th Field Artillery Regiment Officers’ Mess in order to provide the mess with a “Stand Easy” area. The centre of the table has an embedded artillery crest and a plaque with the names of the Regimental Officers that year.
