Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel Don Graydon Foster
2017 - Taken on strength as Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel 15th Field Artillery Regiment RCA in 2017, Awarded Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation in 2022; Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel Don Foster has 25 years of philanthropic and community service experience in British Columbia. He is an Honorary Director of the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, co-founder and former Chair of their highly successful Golf Classic, which has gone on to raise over $7.0 million dollars (net) for the capital needs of Lions Gate Hospital. He has also served as a Director for the Chamber of Commerce in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody. He has helped raise funds for Prostate Cancer Research, Outward Bound, North Shore Search and Rescue and is an active member of Ducks Unlimited. Lieutenant-Colonel Foster is a Chevalier of the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller and currently serves on the membership committee. He is also a Director on the Board of the Juno Beach Centre Association, a non-profit organization that operates the Juno Beach Centre, on the site where Canadian troops landed in France. In his civilian career, Don is a Senior Investment Advisor with BMO Wealth Management. Don has been awarded the premier designation, the “Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute”. Don enjoys hockey, traveling and historical military research. |
