Front, side and rear view - This 9 pounder appears in very good shape given its exposure to the weather and appears to be very well maintained. It is not equipped with leather straps for the seats but it does have the wire supports.
Cypher, stamps and other markings - The barrel is stamped with Queen Victoria's cypher (1837 - 1901). The numbers close to the breech (8-1-1) represent the weight of the barrel (hundredweight-quarters-pounds) which would be equivalent to 925 lbs. The trunnion is stamped 1873, I. The carriage is stamped RCD 1873, No. 92, Sir W.G. Armstrong and Co., Newcastle on the Tyne
Wheels - Reconstructed with material that does not match the original design.
Gun Stores - The gun is equipped with a handspike and with replica projectiles.
