Welome to Bessborough Armoury
The Bessborough Armoury was constructed in 1932 as a home for the 15th Field Brigade, Canadian Artillery and the British Columbia Hussars. The Hussars were converted to a Searchlight Regiment to meet the demands of the Second World War and were subsequently absorbed by the 15th (Vancouver) Coast Brigade, RCA.
The Armoury is currently home to the 15th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA, an Army Reserve unit that continues to recruit and train local Canadian citizens ages 17 to 55 that wish to serve their country. The building is also home to the 15th Field Artillery Museum which is open from 10:00 until 12:00 most Wednesdays. Cadet Youth programs are represented by the 15th Field Artillery Regiment 2472 Army Cadets and the 111 Pegasus Air Cadet Squadron. Contact president.vcrgunners.ca for additional details.
