Blair Cup Small Arms Competition
The units of BC Militia District gather in Chilliwack for the annual Blair Cup competition. Each unit has established their own gathering spot with a suitable flag flying in the wind.
The Regimental Band is on hand to lend a certain finesse to the competition. Does anyone remember what the song list might have been?
It appears that our gathering spot attracts more than just participants. The competition is also an opportune time to bring friends along to show them a small glimpse of what it means to be "away with the Regiment for the weekend."
Did someone invite their lady out to the ranges for the weekend? Is that young Gunner William (Bill) Patrick Healey looking at the camera? Who's pointing out the photographer? Gunner Richard Govier taking a well deserved break.
This appears to be a 100 meter race to pick up your ammunition and then run back to the firing point. Bombardier Rob Wishnicki appears to be doing just fine.
Gunner Richard Govier might just be feeling the strain. Might be time for a rest after this serial.
