Colonel Commandant Visit
The Colonel Commandant of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, Brigadier-General (ret'd) Dave Patterson visited Vancouver on the weekend of 2/3 December 2023. His itinerary included the Regimental Museum, the Point Grey Battery and the Stanley Park Battery. The Vancouver weather was absolutely superb for the Saturday visit.
First stop of the day was the 15th Field Artillery Regiment Museum and Archives. Bombardier (ret'd) Doug Loney was on hand to walk the Col Cmdt through some of the exhibits.

Second stop was the Point Grey Fort. The Museum of Anthropolgy allowed us access into the #1 Gun ammunition bunker.
The final stop was the Stanley Park Fort. Unfortuantely the Vancouver Parks Board denied our request to go into the underground ammunition bunkers due to safety concerns. The fantastic lunch at the Teahouse made up for the disappointment.
Sergeant Donato Calogero receives some well deserved recognition for years of loyal service and esprit de corps with the presentation of a Colonel Commandant's coin.
