Conference Room / Library project
The Library books are available for loans but there is an issue with COVID and the ability to view or deliver the books. The following list contains the collection to date and if you wish to borrow a copy please email [email protected] and we'll try to find a way to make it happen. Many thanks for the Cam Cathcart collection and a donation from HLCol Don Foster.

- Move items to centre of room and wash walls (week of 13 Jul 2020) Completed!
- Paint walls (week of 27 Jul 2020) The wall washing committee agreed that the originators of the current reddish colour intended to match the tile of the fireplace and possibly the red deco tiles on the outside of the Armoury. 23 October 2020 - Trials and tribulations during COVID-19. Ensuring that we stayed within DND protocols, we were able to install another 3 sections of shelving late on a Friday evening. I remember when Friday nights involved much livelier activities! All of the former Officers' Mess books are now on out of the boxes that they were stored in and we can look forward to the completion of the final two sections next month. Huge shout out to Doug Loney for his great work! (His thumb is recovering nicely!) The battery ran out before we were finished for the night.

17 September 2020 - Progress was delayed somewhat due to an accident involving Doug's thumb. With help from his son, another two sections of shelves were installed. Another 3 boxes of books remain and it is hoped to have another 3 sections placed under the whiteboard in three weeks time. The books from the first section have been inventoried and sorted as per the attached excel list.

19 August 2020 - Doug Loney and Leon Jensen installed the first section of shelving. It looks great and holds three boxes of books. Next phase will be the 5 sections under the whiteboard. Tentatively scheduled for the first week of September. Tony Gee has offered to help stock shelves and start an inventory whenever the next phase begins.
22 July 2020 - Volunteers (Doug Loney, Catherine Gagnon, Leon Jensen) were at the Armoury for several hours. Walls were scrubbed down with TSP and measurements re-affirmed. The door to the balcony was opened and the leaves and branches were swept up. The balcony might provide an opportunity to grab a book and move a chair to the fresh air outside. Curtains were also taken down, brought home and washed.
15 July 2020 - Conference Room re-arranged. Video Conference screen against window (need some cable ties in order to store the cables inside cabinet), wall items no longer obscured, conference table rotated 90 degrees.

8 July 2020 - The Conference Room as it was. Video Conference Screen obscures the wall, conference table feels too large for the room, books in boxes in closet and corner.
