Gunner Harold Innes
Gunner Harold Innes joined the 15th (Vancouver) Coast Brigade in 1941 and his time in the unit is captured in news clippings. He appears to have been station with the unit both in Vancouver and on Yorke Island (He may be in the group photo above). He subsequently volunteered for overseas and was posted to Petawawa before arriving in England in September 1943. In April 1943 he was reported wounded and in April 1945 he arrived home. The local newspaper also captured his marriage after the war and his employment as a school bus driver and engagement with the local fish and game club. Gunner Innes passed away 19 November 1986. They shall not be forgotten.
