as at 16 April 2018
The Blue Album from the Museum provides these photos which all appear to be from the exercise in March of 1983. There is no indication of the photographer, but we can pick out some the characters.
Major John Jessop, the Battery commander with Capt Ian Newby the Battery Captain and Captain Leo Kung. The Regimental Sergeant Major Chief Warrant Officer Eric Tyldesley-Gore walks the vehicle convoy line.
Bombardier Geoff Wilkie practices his 1/4 T SMP 'Jeep' driving skills with an unknown member acting as the reviewing officer. Bombardier Stuart Haggerty and Gunner Smith sharing a joke.
Master Bombardier John Otway is in discussion with an American and Captain John Carter. Fort Lewis photos just aren't complete with a shot of Mount Rainier in the background.
Maybe that's why Lieutenant Peter Faliszewski, Bombardier Barry Macleod, Gunner Dave Christensen and others are all gathered outside the North Fort Lewis quarters. The Kiowas from 408 Squadron are in location as well, providing helicopter recces for the Forward Observation Officers.
Couple of good shots of some key regimental people - Captain Ed Bryce, the Motor Support Equipment Officer (MSEO), Captain John Carter, Forward Observation Officer callsign 41 and Master Bombardier Rick Reimer, Forward Observation Officer callsign 42.
