Introduction
The Regiment is always looking for good men. In this age of science and technology, we have a demand for good men with the capacity to be trained in these fields. For the right applicants, we offer a great deal. New friends. Opportunities for new skills and experience. A choice of training in gunnery, signals, driving, rifle and machine gun and many other specialized trades.
Admission Requirements
Any young man between 16 and 28, who meets the Canadian Armed Forces standards of aptitude and character, is eligible. He must have completed grade 8, be a Canadian citizen or British subject, and meet the Armed Forces physical requirements. (If you are under 18, you will require the consent of your parent or guardian to apply).
Opportunities and Benefits
Comradeship and recreational facilities for you and your guests in the Gunners’ Canteen, your own private club. Training, both interesting and useful in application to your “civilian” life. Regular army pay rates for every time you parade. Summer camp, training flights and trips to Manitoba, Alberta, Vancouver Island and the Cariboo. The satisfaction of doing a job with a worthwhile goal.
