Remembrance Day 2017
The Regiment fired a 21 Gun salute at Portside Park at 1100 hours to commemorate and honor those that have fallen while fighting for the defence of Canada.
There was a considerable parade formed up behind the guns with the remainder of the Regiment joined by the Old Guard, a contingent of Corrections Canada officers and the Army Cadets. A small trio of bandsmen provided musical support while the remainder of the Band participated in the main City of Vancouver parade.
The Regiment was also present at the Cenotaph where our two Honoraries laid a wreath on behalf of the Regiment.
Even further afield, we had Ross Keller laying a wreath at Sayward, Garnet Woodford attended at Princeton and George Lenis was in Ottawa laying a wreath on behalf of Air Canada.
The day was capped with the Band of the 15th Field Artillery Regiment providing an excellent concert, With Glowing Hearts Songs of Remembrance, in Delta.
Great job from all those that participated, and a great opportunity to renew some old friendships.
