The purpose of the Vancouver Artillery Association  is

To preserve and safeguard the history of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, local Artillery units and Cadet Corps;

To promote The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, local Artillery units and Cadet Corps within the community as institutions that represents the diverse nature of the Canadian public; 

To encourage the donation and preservation of artifacts and archival materials to local and national Artillery Museums for educational and historical purposes and to assist those museums with fundraising and other activities;

To cooperate with and provide support to, other military and civilian historical societies and associations in Canada and overseas;

To maintain an affiliation with The Royal Canadian Artillery Association and to be the representative of local Gunners to that Association.

To ensure that members of local Artillery units and Cadet Corps are aware of the history of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery and the contributions made, by past and present members, to the country and the community, through the development and distribution of educational and other resource material;

To install and maintain memorials that recognize the contributions made by The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery and its members in peace and war;

To run fundraising activities for and give other support to the local Artillery Charitable Society;

To publish a newsletter and news releases to inform local serving Gunner personnel and the public about past, present and future activities of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, local Artillery units and Cadet Corps and to provide speakers to give talks on the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, local Artillery units and Cadet Corps and their histories;

All of the above activities are provided to, or on behalf of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, local Artillery units and any affiliated, sponsored or supported Cadet Corps.
