A Walk to Remember
On Remembrance Day, the Band of the Fifteenth Field Regiment performed at the unveiling ceremony of A Walk to Remember, organized by the Langley Youth for the Fallen, the Rotary Club of Langley and the Township of Langley. Many people were in attendance to honour all those Canadians who have been killed in Afganistan, remembered with the planting of a tree at this site for each person.
On a personal note, this event is rather interesting as it joins several facets of your editor's life in one event. The Band is from my Regiment, I'm a member of the Rotary Club of Langley and I was the Officer that had the sad task of notifying the family of the death of their son who's name is one of those recorded on the commemorative feature in the park. Lest we forget.
