Your website manager has been on the road again, currently in El Paso Texas. Unfortunately web connectivity and time have not been working in his favour. High winds, tumbleweeds, considerable rain and a bit of snow has created some tension. Long days of driving until we hit warmer weather! Will try and update site as time becomes available.
Hockey and snow - can it get any more Canadian than that? We had both in February. The snow caused a the cancellation of an exercise and smaller turnout at the Regimental Birthday. Good thing it doesn't stay very long in Vancouver!
The Uniform fund is now sitting at $4,750.00 with the sale of two Stable Belts! Have you purchased yours yet? Only $1,250.00 to meet our target and then we can outfit the detachment in period uniforms. Khaki Drill is edging out the Battle Dress in the voting....
I'm having some difficulty matching up the parade program with pictures from a parade that year. Were you there? Take a look at the 1983 Yearbook and see if you can tell me what date of the parade where Majors Bob Mugford and Vic Stevenson were the Battery Commanders.
The photos are most likely from the Change of RSM parade in 1988. The faces on parade and the rank that I can make out all seem to indicate that year. Private Dawn Larsen, Warrant Officer Clif John, Sergeant Jennifer Jackson, Master Bombardier Eric Goodwill, Master Bombardier Ernie Kovacs, Sergeant Donato Calogero, Captain Richard Van Slyke. Did I miss your name? Have you got any pictures from that year that you want to share?
Steve Minnie passed along some great photographs of the Museum taken on Remembrance Day 2015. The Museum is open on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30. Come down for a tour and stay for lunch in the Officers' Mess.
Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess - March 1990. Was it the Ladies Dining in? Were you there? Send me your photos and some stories.
Gathering of former Regimental Sergeants Major at the annual dinner in the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess. Check out the photos in the 2011 Yearbook.
More pictures from the Regimental Birthday/Reunion Party have been provided by Steve Minnie. Thanks Steve! It looks like everybody was having a great time!
Fort Lewis Exercise. The Commanding Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel John Carter and the Regimental Sergeant Major, Master Warrant Officer Dave Levien fire their final round. Check out the other photos from that exercise in the 1991 Yearbook.
