9 Pounder of 6 cwt Mark II for Land Service
The 9 Pounder has arrived for the RCA Museum in Shilo! Have you got a couple of hours to spare on Wednesday, 2 May at 1000 hrs? We're going to start the uncrating and scope out the tools required to reassemble the 1874 artifact. Wow. Check out the story as it unfolds on this page..... Came across another group photo of the 68th Battery Canadian Field Artillery. This was the recruiting unit in Vancouver that brought in Gunners and trained them up to a set level before shipping them off to World War I. We only have a clear ID on the O.C, Captain Boorman who's name was included on the photo and I'm pretty sure I have his coordinates correct. There's lots more group photos on this page and we need help identifying all the personnel in those photos. Check out the years that you were a member and make sure we have your name correct, and then check up on your buddy's name as well. 68th Battery C.F.A. - Vancouver, B.C. May 22nd 1918 - Capt. H.E. Quarter Guard Competition
New Westminster hosted the Quarter Guard competition in Queen's Park from 8-14 June 1958. I haven't come across the standings but it appears that Sergeant Bill Wickett is doing a fine job with the 43rd Medium Anti-Aircraft Regiment team! Can anyone help me with the names of the members of the guard? Check out the other pictures in the 1958 Yearbook page. Have you got any to add to the collection? Sergeant Bill Wickett sent along these great photographs of an Albert Head live fire exercise in 1958. Actually, that should read Brigadier General William (Bill) T. Wickett. Quite the career from Anti-Aircraft to Field Artillery and from Gunner to Brigadier-General!
