Jo-Ann is survived by her husband of almost 44 years and best friend, David; children Alicia and Jason; her grandson and apple of her eye, Léo; her mother, Patricia; her younger siblings Robert, Liza, Gisele and Julie; and her nieces and nephews. Born on November 29, 1953 in Toronto to parents Patricia Young and Louis Ouellett, Jo-Ann moved with her family to Winnipeg and then to Montreal. In 1971, she moved on her own to Vancouver where she met David. They fell in love, married and started their life together. Jo-Ann shared her love of food and good conversation with everyone she met. She was known by her countless international homestay students as "Mom". Her family and friends will miss her laughter, loving embraces and company.
