Warrant Officers' & Sergeants' Mess Mixed Dining In
The Mess held a Mixed Dining in with members bringing their significant others for a great evening at the Mess! The event was held on 27 April 2019 with many compliments provided to the PMC of the Dinner and the Committee. You know it's a success when members say, "We should do this more often!" Check out the other photos here. Have you got some to add to the collection?

Dear Vancouver Gunners,
My name is Joon Sohn and I am from student-led organization Hold High the Torch at École Salish Secondary. We are hosting a Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on Saturday May 11, 2019, 11:00am - 2:00pm at École Salish Secondary (7278 184 St, Surrey, BC V4N 5V2).
We want to honour our local veterans, active-duty military personnel and their spouses/caretakers by treating them to a complimentary lunch with great food, activities, prizes, and live entertainment provided by Pat Chessell. The Keynote Speaker will be The Honourable Yonah Martin, Senator from BC. It is a grateful opportunity for Surrey/Langley/Delta residents to show our appreciation for those who served our nation and fought for our freedoms. Attached is an invite flyer.
We are asking for your help to promote this event among local veterans & military personnel who are associated with your organization. We understand many of our older veterans aren’t online, so if you could simply provide us the names and phone numbers of those who are interested in attending - that would be amazing. They are welcome to phone (778) 388-4746 as well. If they would like to register online, please visit EventBrite - cloverdaleveteransappreciationluncheon.eventbrite.ca.

The Regimental Sergeants Major portrait wall project is moving ahead with the sponsorship of Brigade Sergeant Major Purdy by Mr. John Redmond. Thanks John! Next on the list is our Second World War Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer ClassI Robert Watson. Of course you don't have to sponsor in this specific order. Let me know If there is one of the RSMs featured on this wall that you feel a certain affinity towards and you can sponsor him!
Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel Don Foster has provided some additional information on the D-Day Commemoration event. Check out the story here...
