Did you know that the Société nationale d'entraide de la Médaille Militaire generously offered to extend all the benefits open to its members to the members of the Order of Military Merit? This was done in order to show gratitude to Canada’s military contribution in France during the two world wars and to establish a link between two of our nation’s respective highest military honours. The benefits include:
Possibility to become member of the 1846th Section of the Médaille Militaire in Canada as associate members;
Possibility to have respite stays, under the same conditions as SNEMM members, at the Résidence de la Médaille Militaire Hyère in the Var region of southern France;
Possibility to rent flats in ‘Pierre et Vacances’ residences at preferential rates up to 50% off;
Possibility to have private VIP consultations with medical specialists at l’Hôpital de la Pitié Salpetrière in Paris; and
Possibility to participate in cultural and linguistic exchanges between France and Canada.
Additional detals can be found at this Government of Canada website.
