6 Pdr Anti Tank Gun The Kerrisdale Legion Branch is moving from their current location and merging with the Billy Bishop. We have now taken possession of the 6pdr and it has been moved to John Hawthorne’s facility for refurbishing. The Legion branch called the other day asking if we would take the two concrete mounting blocks which would be handy if we decide to mount the gun in front of the Armoury. We need 3-4 guys (in good shape) and a pickup truck to get the blocks from the Legion and move to the Armoury. They have been pulled out of the ground so it is just a matter of putting them into a vehicle and taking them to the Armoury. This has to be done by the end of the month. Any volunteers?? Contact Bob Mugford at [email protected]e Change of Command Parade The CO has asked us to take the FAT and 25pdr out to the Change of Command parade which take place on May 13 on the field west of the Museum of Anthropology. They want the gun in position by 1100hrs. The FAT/Gun will parked and left hooked in. We could use a couple of volunteers to help out. All former members and Association members are invited to attend the parade. Haven’t heard yet if they will want us on parade. Dress will be blazer and gray slacks (blue beret, if you have one), medals. The invitation will be in the next newsletter 25 pdr detachment training
