Harold Steves has invited us to join with him at his 100 year old Steveston House during the Doors Open Richmond event from 10:00 to 4:00 on both Saturday and Sunday 3/4 June 2017. Harold was the unofficial mascot of the 58th Battery 15th (Vancouver) Coast Brigade RCA during World War II as they deployed on the Steveston Dyke beside his house. He'll be setting up a Gunners Canteen in his basement with some of his military memorabilia, similarto the one his mother set up and hosted the Gunners with farm fresh food.
The Vancouver Artillery Association intends to deploy the FAT, limber and 25 pounder in Harold's front yard and is looking for volunteers to assist. We are also planning to use those days for FAT driver training for those that are available. What are you doing next weekend?
Interested? Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or Bob Mugford at email@example.com.
