Minter (captain), Gnr A. McNee and Gnr R. Buckle. The 85th Battery of Vancouver, at the present time encamped at Petawawa, has a football team to be proud of. The soccer season at the camp has just been brought to a successful conclusion with the Vancouver boysthe head of the league, giving them the football championship of the camp. In the series just concluded, the 68th Battery team won twelve games, lost none and had one draw match. They secured 25 points, while only one was registered against them. Fourteen teams comprised the league, and the Battery boys are to be congratulated on their fine showing against the other teams in the league., for they are composed of some of the finest players in the Dominion. |
